| About Kay Anderson: |
Dr. Kay Anderson is a lactation medicine specialist, with that being the focus of her
practice at LPG since 2005. She is an International Board Certified Lactation
Consultant, as well as being board certified in pediatrics since 1995. Dr. Anderson
was an RN long ago, and also has a degree in Social Work. She attended medical school
at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed residency at the University
of North Carolina. Dr. Anderson has served on several medical mission trips to Central
America and Africa, and sits on the Southwood Lutheran Church Board. She works with
the Lincoln Community Breastfeeding Initiative and the Nebraska Breastfeeding
Coalition, as well as various other volunteer activities. Dr. Anderson enjoys learning
about other cultures, especially by traveling to remote places. She also enjoys
reading, watching cultural documentaries, photography and spending time with family
and friends. She is married to Todd, and they have 2 children. Shelby is at Brooklyn
Law School and Sydney is studying at UNL. Dr. Anderson loves to share her
breastfeeding expertise with healthcare providers and parent groups via speaking
engagements!
